Aluminum
For years, architects and builders have specified aluminum windows
for their strength, value, and ease of installation during the
home building process. Aluminum replacement windows are still
the lowest cost option among window frame types, although some
vinyl products are dropping in cost. An aluminum window of similar
cost should be considered before a vinyl window, as the aluminum
frame components will be substantially stronger than vinyl.
